Rivers and Harbors Act, Section 10
Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act requires a permit from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Army Corps) for any obstruction to the navigable capacity of any water of the United States. To a great extent the regulatory authority of the Army Corps under the Act has been superseded by the Federal Clean Water Act.
