Nationwide Permits
Nationwide Permits (NWP) are a type of "general permit" issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps). General permits are pre-authorized for specified categories of activities within a specified area, authorizing the discharge of dredged or fill material into waters of the United States, including wetlands. Gerneral permits issued by the Corps nationally are called nationwide permits.
