
Endangered Species Act
The Endangered Species Act establishes an official listing process for plants animals considered to be in danger of extinction, requires the development of specific plans for the recovery of listed species, restricts activities perceived to harm listed species or its habitat, and requires federal agencies to ensure its actions do not jeopardize listed species.
