The Tahoe-Truckee Data Resource is intended to highlight new information generated about our Region and provide easy access to it.

How to Use the New Data Resource

The following list includes studies, databases, or documents newly available on the internet that we consider to be important to the Region at this time. You may easily link to these sites or to the organization which created the resource.

2. State Route 28 Recreation Traffic Management Plan

3. Shorezone Consensus Meeting Minutes and Topic Papers
   (Tahoe Regional Planning Agency: 1997)

4. Tahoe Environmental Geographic Information System (TEGIS). These GIS datasets were developed by TRPA and the USGS and include 11 data layers of environmental information covering the Tahoe Basin.

5. Individual Parcel Evaluation System (IPES) Database, 1997 Update. The TRPA database of scores in the Individual Parcel Evaluation System program, searchable by geographic area.

6. Community Leaders in Classrooms Resource. Prepared by the Tahoe Center for a Sustainable Future, a listing of community leaders willing to work in area classrooms, organized by subject area.

7. Tahoe-Truckee Regional Economic Indicators. A project of the Tahoe Truckee Regional Economic Coalition, this is a baseline presentation of Regional economic indicators to be tracked over time.

9. Sierra Nevada Wealth Index.
   Provides the first integrated assessment of social, financial and natural capital of Sierra Nevada. (Sierra Business Council: 1996)

10. Tahoe-Truckee Data Catalogue.
    (Several organizations in the Tahoe Region are working to develop an on line catalogue of environmental and economic information: in progress)
