Preparation

Please start reflecting about the following questions and communicate whatever responses and ideas you have by June 21 (via e-mail, snail mail or fax) to us (this will allow enough time to assemble them, along with some relevant articles, and distribute them to the group two weeks before the Retreat). If you can't, please bring them with you to the Retreat.

  1. What do sustainability and the goal of creating 'sustainable communities in the 21st Century' mean to you? What images, ideas, concepts and feelings do you hold that define them for you?
  2. What gifts do you bring to this group that are aligned with this purpose?
  3. What ideas are you passionate about that contribute to the purpose above and to an emerging process?
  4. What are three questions that bother you the most about sustainability and for which you have no answers?
  5. From which failures (learning experiences) have you learned the most which would be of value to our purpose?
  6. What would make the Retreat most fulfilling?
  7. How can the Retreat best support individual goals and also a shared approach for evolving the concept of community sustainability?
