Spring-run Chinook salmon and Steelhead once occurred in many streams throughout the
Central Valley. Today these incredible fish occur in only a few Sacramento Valley
streams, including Deer Creek. The important populations are monitored to ensure
their continued existence. The survival of these fish has depended on the caring stewardship
of property owners within the watershed and their future will rely upon continued
responsible management of the land. Deer Creek Watershed Conservancy Vina, California
