For HomeownersLiving With Fire: A Guide for the Homeowner. This booklet uses easy-to-follow discussions, graphics, and tables to give homeowners information they need to minimize the threat of fire to their property. The 12-page booklet covers the fire environment, fire behavior, defensible space, landscape design, defensible home considerations, and what to do if wildfire threatens. This publication was produced by the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension and The Sierra Front Wildfire Cooperators primarily for eastern California and western Nevada but much of the information is applicable throughout the California wildlands.
