The Coastal Conservancy is a small
(about 70 employees) agency of the State of California.
Its headquarters are located in downtown Oakland.
Except for its executive officer,
all permanent employees of the Conservancy are members
of the state's civil service system. Permanent positions
are filled through the use of civil service lists, which
are created by an examination process. Examinations
are held at irregular intervals by the Conservancy and
the State Personnel Board.
If you are interested in a permanent
position, you will be notified when the Conservancy's
next examinations, for which you are qualified, will
be held. If you are interested in an internship, your
letter and resume will be retained for up to two years
for review when a position becomes available.
Notices of examinations will also
be posted on the Coastal Conservancy's Web site.
If you would like more information
about employment with the Coastal Conservancy, please
