The CALFED Science Program in collaboration with California Sea Grant College Program is seeking applications from qualified individuals to compete for predoctoral and postdoctoral fellowship opportunities in 2007. The aim of the Science Fellows Program is to bring together junior scientists with CALFED Program agency scientists and senior research mentors in collaborative data analysis and research projects relevant to ecosystem management and water supply reliability questions, including analyses of the immense monitoring database collected and maintained by the implementing agencies. Fellowships will be awarded this year addressing the priority issues as outlined in the CALFED Science Program 2006 Proposal Solicitation Package (PSP) or specific needs identified by CALFED implementing agencies.
Proposition 40 Project Awards Website
The Resources Agency, working through the Department of Parks and Recreation, has created a public website through which all departments administering Proposition 40 funds will report their project award information. This website has been designed so members of the public can easily obtain information in a single location about Proposition 40-funded projects in their community. The information can be accessed by city, county, zip code, as well as through more refined searches, including the use of key words. All technical issues should be forward to Ed Wiebe, DPR IT Project Manager (916) 651-7679. General questions or concerns should be directed to Elaine Berghausen (916) 653-5656. Questions on the projects on the website - go to the department administering that project. Each project description includes the contact phone number for the project.
